Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of All Ages... See the Most Amazing, Spectacular, and Dazzling Entry this Blogger Has EVER Dared to Post!

The Greatest Show on Earth is coming to town in just eight days! When I saw Gunther Gebel-Williams face off against a dozen tigers during his farewell tour in 1990, I was hooked for life on the death-defying, bedazzled razzmatazz of the circus. I'm whiling away the days until the ringmaster starts the show with etsy. Think red striped tents, airy cotton candy, aerialists in spangled leotards, and ostentatious sideshow signs. Step right up and enjoy these gorgeous and unique pieces from some of etsy's most talented artists!

Most of my friends haven't been to the circus since they were children.
I'm trying to get everyone to go with me. Sno-cones and peanuts for everyone!
When is the last time you went under the big top?

  1. Dan and I actually had a serious middle of the night, refusing to go to bed at a decent hour discussion about the circus. I know he feels strongly about animal rights and I admit some ignorance on what exactly bad happens to circus animals. It was interesting. We are a maybe for this one.

  2. Those sideshow nesting dolls are perfection. I have had a softspot for matroyshkas (and freaky people for that matter) since birth.

    1. Aren't they compelling? Everything by that artist looks like it's either from a circus sideshow or Where the Wild Things Are!

    1. You'd look so good in those things, too! I can't wait to see your Dixie Cousins costume.
